Dublin Borough provides a medication drop box where residents can safely dispose of unused or expired medications. Proper disposal helps prevent accidental use, protects our environment, and keeps medications out of the hands of those who should not have access to them.
The medication drop box is available Monday through Thursday during regular Borough office hours. After-hours access is available by calling the Dublin Borough Police Department. Residents are encouraged to use this service to properly dispose of unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Medication Return
Borough Residents looking to dispose their unused or unwanted medications can visit the safe and secure permanent drop off location at Dublin Borough Municipal Building 119 Maple Ave. Dublin, PA.
Properly disposing of excess drugs is everyone's responsibility as a matter of public safety. More than 70 percent of young people abusing prescription pain relievers get them through friends or family, a statistic that includes raiding the family medicine cabinet. Flushing them pollutes the water supply. Throwing them in the trash makes them an easy target, not only for thieves, but for pets and wild life. Now Dublin Borough citizens won’t have to wait for a specific take-back day to clean out their medicine cabinets.
